About COIxist
COIxist Technologies LLC is a Georgia-based software company with one product and one conviction: a law firm's conflicts data is among the most sensitive information it holds, and it should never have to leave the building to be useful.
Why we built this
Conflict checking sits at an awkward intersection. It's regulatory-critical — a missed conflict is a disqualification motion, a malpractice claim, or a bar complaint. It's operationally constant — every new client, matter, lateral hire, and vendor contract triggers one. And the tools that dominate the market answer that combination with cloud platforms, multi-month implementations, and per-module pricing.
We think the correct answer looks different: software that installs on the firm's own server, connects to the systems the firm already pays for, screens every check against sanctions lists automatically, explains every match it makes in plain language, and writes an audit trail a regulator can replay. That's COIxist — a central server on your LAN, desktop clients on attorneys' machines, and no cloud between your client data and your conflicts decisions.
How we operate
- On-premise is the product, not a tier. There is no hosted version of COIxist and no plan to quietly become a SaaS. See the Security page for the full posture — including what we haven't achieved yet.
- Deterministic by design. No AI or machine learning ever touches client data. Every match is explainable, auditable, and stable over time.
- Honest documentation. Our documentation describes the product as it ships — including the features that are API-only today and the data feeds your team loads themselves. If something reads like marketing, we've failed; tell us.
- No lock-in. Your data lives in standard PostgreSQL on your own hardware. Leaving COIxist is a
pg_dumpaway, and we publish that fact on purpose.
